Victoria man arrested after four stabbed in Warburton

A man has been arrested after a group were allegedly stabbed following a dispute about a car being damaged east of Melbourne.

The 35-year-old was arrested at a property in Warburton last night, while three men and a woman were taken to hospital with non-life threatening stab wounds.

Police were called to the property on Comangin Avenue just after 7pm, following reports of an altercation.

Police believe the dispute was caused by an incident earlier in the day which involved a car being damaged at nearby Wesburn.

The victims – two men aged 29 from Millgrove, a 49-year-old man from Yarra Junction and a woman, 37, from Warburton – are known to the suspect, police allege.

The investigation is continuing.
