A Melbourne crime figure has been jailed for 32 years for the murder of a man outside a Melbourne shopping centre in 2016.
George Marrogi, 33, was sentenced for the murder of Kadir Ors near a bus shelter outside Campbellfield Plaza on September 26, 2016.
Marrogi fired multiple rounds at Ors outside an Officeworks store on the corner of the Hume Highway and Mahoneys Road.
Speaking outside of court today, the victim’s mother said justice had been served.
“Justice, justice has been served. I don’t know what else to say,” she said.
“I thank all the solicitors and witnesses, everyone that came through. I don’t know what else to say. Five years gone but justice is served.”
Marrogi will serve 27 years before being eligible for parole.
