Northern Territory chief minister announces birth of baby boy

The leader took to social media on Saturday to announce the birth of his boy, named Nash Michael Huckleberry Gunner.

“Yesterday Kristy, Hudson and I were overjoyed to welcome Nash Michael Huckleberry Gunner to the family,” he said in a Facebook post.

“Nash is a big, happy lad at 3.8kgs (or just over 8 pounds) and 48 cm, with very strong lungs and a healthy appetite.

“Hudson has been very gentle and loving when holding his new brother.

“Nash and Mum have had a very good recovery sleep overnight and everyone is happy and healthy.”

Mr Gunner’s first son Hudson was born in 2020.

Mr Gunner is not the only Australian leader to welcome a child recently.

NSW Premier Dominic Perrottet announcing the birth of his seventh child earlier in March, daughter Celeste Grace Perrotte.
