Woman allegedly caught drink driving with child in the car

A woman has allegedly been caught drink driving and speeding with a child in the car in western Sydney.

Police stopped a Holden Barina on Boronia Road, St Marys just after 12pm on Wednesday after allegedly detecting the car travelling above the speed limit.

The 26-year-old driver was asked to take a roadside breath test, which police said returned a positive result.

Officers said the P-plater was travelling with an 11-month-old baby in her vehicle.

The woman was arrested and taken to St Marys Police Station.

Police said she took a second breath analysis which returned an alleged reading of 0.206.

The woman was issued a field court attendance notice for drive with high range PCA (first offence) as well as infringement notices for exceeding the speed limit and not displaying P plates.

Her driver’s licence was also suspended.
