Natasha Fyles chosen unanimously as new NT Chief Minister

Fyles, 43, was selected by her peers in the Labor caucus this morning in a unanimous vote.

“This afternoon I will visit the administrator to be sworn in as Chief Minister of the Northern Territory,” she said in a statement.

“Our united and stable team is now focused on getting on with our first priority – serving Territorians.”

The former PE teacher was first elected to the Legislative Assembly for the Darwin seat of Nightcliff in 2012.

She has served as Health Minister since 2020.
